Stratton and King are proud to present this brand new one bedroom, ground floor apartment available at Alfred Lodge
It is named after King Alfred the Great who created the ‘Burgh of Brydian’ establishing the town as a burgh in the 9th century.
The town’s thriving high street is home to a number of independent family-run shops alongside some well-known high street stores and comes alive every Wednesday and Saturday when the bustling street market comes to town. Bridport also hosts monthly Farmers’, Craft and Vintage markets and five annual festivals including the entertaining Hat Festival, the Ropewalk Fair and Bridport Food Festival; a week-long celebration of local food.
Classed as a Beacon Town, recognised for the high quality and variety of local food, you will find a wealth of award winning local food producers in and around the town and restaurants and pubs serving great British classics using some of the finest local ingredients and of course exceptional seafood.
The Arts Centre and Electric Palace present an exciting programme of film, theatre, music, comedy and dance, and the town is also home to some fabulous open parks including the Millennium Green and Borough Gardens.
The local area has a wealth of fascinating attractions, many of which celebrate the history and art influences in the town. Take a tour of the historic Palmers Brewery, visit the beautiful Jacobean manor and gardens at Mapperton House or sample a glass of Furleigh fizz with a vineyard and winery tour at Furleigh Estate.
Bridport lies around a mile from the coast at West Bay, a charming fishing village on the famous Jurassic Coastline, with large stretches of shingle beaches either side of a small harbour with pleasure crafts and fishing boats. The South West Coast Path, the longest National Trail in the country passes along the cliffs at West Bay and is perfect for an afternoon stroll, enjoying the far-reaching views across the Devon Coastline and observing the local wildlife.
Alfred Lodge is managed by the award winning Millstream Management Services, working closely with Churchill Retirement Living and Stratton & King to maintain the highest standards of maintenance and service for every lodge and owner.
Alfred Lodge requires at least one apartment resident to be over the age of 60 with any second resident over the age of 55.
