Tamarisk Lodge is a select development of 26 one and two bedroom retirement apartments situated on Stocks Lane in East Wittering.
Located less than half a mile from Bracklesham Bay, Tamarisk Lodge is located on Stocks Lane in East Wittering, and takes its name from the popular shrub grown in the area as a windbreak and shelter from sea breezes. On Bracklesham Lane you will find a number of local shops including two convenience stores, cafés, a restaurant, take-away establishments, a hairdresser and Post Office together with Bracklesham Bay, a shelving shingle beach.
Less than a mile away in the opposite direction you will find the shopping facilities of East Wittering. A variety of shops and services exist here including independent retailers such as a butchers, a fishmonger, florist, book shop, bakeries and cafés, along with national retailers including convenience stores and pharmacies together with a choice of banks. East Wittering Medical Centre is located on Cakeham Road and provides a range of medical services to the local community.
Getting out and about is easy. There are bus stops directly outside Tamarisk Lodge and good road links exist between The Witterings and Chichester; cross channel ferries can be located in Portsmouth with the nearest airports located at Southampton and Gatwick.
East Wittering was used for a dummy run of the D-Day landings but remains a peaceful, seaside location. It is also considered to be one of the Thankful Villages, a place that suffered no fatalities in the First World War.
The Cathedral City of Chichester is located approximately 7 miles north of East Wittering where you will find a blend of old and new nestled at the bottom of the South Downs.

Tamarisk Lodge requires at least one apartment resident to be over the age of 60 with any second resident over the age of 55. Each Apartment is completely self-contained with its own front door, providing you with privacy and peace and quiet when you want it. When you fancy some company, you’ll find the Owners’ Lounge a popular and relaxed place to meet.
Service charges include: Careline system, buildings insurance, water and sewerage rates, communal cleaning, utilities and maintenance, garden maintenance, lift maintenance, lodge manager and a contribution to the contingency fund.
